[01:35:54] <irc> <profetik777> when is the best time to ask? im in the states.
[09:05:44] <irc> <JornStian> another issue I had pop up was application upgrades failing because fail2ban b0rked out because of "imap3" being defined in /etc/fail2ban/jail.conf instead of "imap" - this seems to have been fixed in later versions (?) but I had to manually change the configfile to have rules applied properly..
[10:40:39] <irc> <colm[m]> Hi all, I can't find YNH documentation on user:groups permission practices. In previous versions of YNH I had permissions set on deposit folders (from app Transmission for example) allowing me to run a cron from one folder deposit to another media folder (later making Airsonic able to see new music, for example, in the folder)
[10:42:11] <irc> <colm[m]> Now when I list the permissions of the folders inside the home of yunohost.transmission, they are owned by debian-transmission:debian-transmission, and can't be written into by the Transmission app when used by via the web interface
[10:42:45] <irc> <colm[m]> further, all my external storages are mounted within the Admin users home, under a Media folder, and they have all been owned by root:root
[10:42:59] <irc> <colm[m]> meaning no other user can write to them
[10:43:38] <irc> <colm[m]> What is the recommended practice here ? I understand that this is a half Unix half YNH question but I'm confused as to what happened in latest upgrades
[10:51:52] <irc> <Gilou> it's getting tricky hehe
[10:52:16] <irc> <Gilou> acls can help you, but that mix of permissions doesn't sound too good
[10:52:53] <irc> <colm[m]> as in, it isn't supposed to be that way ?
[10:53:18] <irc> <colm[m]> I've never touched them myself I don't think
[12:51:39] <irc> <ynhuser|39360> Hi
[12:54:41] <irc> <ynhuser|39360> I can't find if how many RAM I should have for a decent nextcloud, any clue?
[12:56:34] <irc> <Gilou> depends on the size of your instance, nb users / nb files
[12:57:02] <irc> <Gilou> but I have instances fit under 2 GB RAM, for ~10 users and that are happy
[12:57:06] <irc> <Gilou> depends also on the apps you add
[12:59:21] <irc> <kidon[m]> you have only nextcoud on your server Gilou ?
[12:59:22] <irc> <kidon[m]> I have 2 GB RAM too, I have uploaded >5GB on my nextcloud and it begins to be slow at opening
[12:59:22] <irc> <kidon[m]> But I have some others apps
[13:00:19] <irc> <kidon[m]> But indeed :
[13:00:19] <irc> <kidon[m]> > Nextcloud needs a minimum of 128MB RAM, and we recommend a minimum of 512MB.
[13:00:20] <irc> <kidon[m]>
[13:01:06] <irc> <Gilou> might be bound by cpu or php configuration
[13:01:28] <irc> <Gilou> or disk ...
[13:32:37] <irc> <ynhuser|39360> Ok thank! I have 2GB, some small app but jitsi installed, and as jitsi doesn't properly works for now I will uninstall it
[13:34:02] <irc> <ynhuser|39360> I also installed onlyoffice on nextcloud (didn't manage to install it independently…) so I can definitely quit googleDocs
[13:34:16] <irc> <ynhuser|39360> thanks for the awesome job!
[13:46:26] <irc> <ynhuser|60767> mise à jour impossible des webapp "my_webapp" => logs :
[14:40:10] <irc> <vaughan> I installed Etherpad and left the public option selected. Is there a way to now revoke it? Thanks.
[14:51:13] <irc> <> It's ok, I found the visitors group.
[17:12:57] <irc> <M\__librebrussel> >143478 WARNING The user mobilizon was not found
[17:12:57] <irc> <M\__librebrussel> oooooh
[17:39:14] <irc> <tituspijean[m]> sent a long message: < >
[17:39:42] <irc> <tituspijean[m]> I have solved the disk space issue, but I am confused about the error. Is it due to a bot trying to use my SMTP server to send spam?
[17:40:19] <irc> <tituspijean[m]> (aaaaaand I failed to hide my domain properly :shame:)
[17:40:49] <irc> <tituspijean[m]> note that there is no adam@ account on my server.
[21:06:33] <irc> <jdarnley> How does a user of this thing access the Transmission RPC?
[21:07:26] <irc> <jdarnley> I am trying to instruct someone on how to set the incomplete directory for Transmission installed through this app store.
[21:08:11] <irc> <OursBlanc> jdarnley: maybe we can found this information here ?
