[06:51:39] <irc> <Pierre0412> salut
[08:42:35] <irc> <nqb> hello
[10:02:35] <irc> <StraToN> Hi there! I am struggling to configure my Rainloop app to allow my local user (let's call him "fbar@domain.tld") to to use my external email account named "foo@domain.tld". My problem here is that as you can see, the domain.tld is the same for the local machine AND my email address. I don't do mailing on my server, I just want to setup a light web
[10:02:36] <irc> <StraToN> client.
[10:03:30] <irc> <StraToN> First problem: Rainloop obviously looks for user "foo" on Yunohost, but it does not exist, as the user is "fbar"
[10:04:30] <irc> <StraToN> Second problem: trying to add a mail account in Rainloop (while connected with fbar@domain.tld seems to crash nginx
[10:06:43] <irc> <StraToN> The crash seems related to ssowat, but I'm not certain
[12:46:43] <irc> <kayou[m]> Hi StraToN, I don't know for your first point, but can you give us logs for the second one please? (And give us the version of ssowat used)
[12:47:29] <irc> <kayou[m]> Your should find logs at:
[12:47:29] <irc> <kayou[m]> `/var/log/nginx/domain-error.tld`
[13:07:40] <irc> <StraToN> kayou[m] There you go : https://forum.yunohost.org/t/email-access-to-external-email-foo-domain-tld-from-yunohost-user-fbar-domain-tld/10118
[13:07:53] <irc> <StraToN> I created a thread for my problem, you'll find a portion of error.log
[13:34:29] <irc> <kayou[m]> All right, thanks for your report. I'll look into it!
[13:51:07] <irc> <kayou[m]> StraToN: Can you describe me how do you add the foo@domain.tld mail in rainloop please?
[13:52:19] <irc> <kayou[m]> have you change the theme of the sso?
[13:52:54] <irc> <kayou[m]> did*a
[13:57:32] <irc> <StraToN> kayou[m] I didn't change the theme of the sso (what is it?)
[13:58:33] <irc> <StraToN> I connected to rainloop using my fbar@domain.tld + yunohost password, then went to parameters and added an account from there
[14:13:22] <djx> I just noticed that the custom app Application in Yunohost also tries to automatically load the login panel and some other assets
[14:14:20] <djx> Is there a way to turn this off? I'm using the "Custom Webapp"
[14:14:28] <djx> I wanted to try the "Multi custom webapp" but it seems to be broken at the moment.
[14:19:49] <irc> <kayou[m]> when I do that, I only get a "Authentication failed"
[14:19:53] <irc> <kayou[m]> --r
[14:19:59] <irc> <kayou[m]> * --'
[14:22:14] <irc> <StraToN> kayou[m] I've been fiddling a lot, i am not totally sure of the way I added it :/
[14:22:56] <irc> <kayou[m]> do you add this email in alias of a yunohost account?
[14:23:36] <irc> <kayou[m]> well, anyway, the problem is on scandir function, so not related to LDAP or emain...
[14:23:59] <irc> <StraToN> At first, I did, yes, and it didn't work. Now I just tried setting it as mail email address (thus replacing fbar @domain.tld to foo @domain.tld) and I can't even login to Rainloop anymore
[14:24:01] <irc> <kayou[m]> `/usr/share/ssowat/portal/assets/themes/`
[14:24:16] <irc> <kayou[m]> do you have the folder `default` at this location?
[14:25:32] <irc> <StraToN> kayou[m] Yes, I do
[14:25:34] <irc> <StraToN> :/usr/share/ssowat/portal/assets/themes$ ls
[14:25:35] <irc> <StraToN> clouds default light vapor
[14:25:40] <irc> <kayou[m]> djx - seems to be broken at the moment, when? at the install?
[14:26:00] <djx> yea. I wanted to try the other one to see if it also put the YNH resources in as well
[14:26:05] <irc> <kayou[m]> can you give me the ls of this folder?
[14:26:16] <djx> The folder it creates?
[14:26:35] <irc> <kayou[m]> StraToN :-)
[14:27:11] <irc> <kayou[m]> djx - the folder was not for you ;-), can you give me the log of the install?
[14:27:24] <djx> https://github.com/YunoHost-Apps/multi_webapp_ynh/issues/27 <- those are the pertinent lines.
[14:27:30] <djx> If more would help then I'm happy to do that.
[14:27:52] <irc> <kayou[m]> StraToN: `ls -la` of the folder `default`
[14:28:18] <irc> <StraToN> $ ls default/
[14:28:19] <irc> <kayou[m]> djx - ok, will check that!!
[14:28:19] <irc> <StraToN> custom_overlay.css custom_portal.css custom_portal.js
[14:30:59] <irc> <kayou[m]> djx - `yunohost app install https://github.com/e-lie/multi_webapp_ynh` fix your problem? (you may have a permission issue with this version
[14:31:29] <djx> I saw this person's fork but I didn't quite understand what changes it was making. seemed it was more about path issues?
[14:33:02] <djx> Anyway, will give it a shot :)
[14:33:11] <djx> How long does it usually take for a fork to be accepted for the YNH apps?
[14:35:19] <irc> <kayou[m]> it depends, here we are waiting for change in this PR
[14:35:52] <irc> <kayou[m]> `chown -R $appname:$appname $final_path` looks not good if you want to copy your files
[14:36:19] <djx> Since it's a "community" app, is there a certain time frame until it is considered abandoned and there is a new owner?
[14:38:31] <irc> <kayou[m]> the volunteers who maintain these apps don't always have the time to do it, but this app is not abandoned
[14:39:30] <djx> Well, I don't mean to sound rude about it ;) I understand they're volunteers. But I also see some listed in the app page as "approved" so I assumed ther was some curation.
[14:39:34] <djx> Just curious what it is.
[14:40:05] <djx> Anyway, thanks for that suggestion, that did allow it to work - but it's doing the same thing as the other one. The app is automatically trying to load ynh_portal.js, ynh_overlay, etc. etc.
[14:41:07] <irc> <kayou[m]> ho, yeah, it's normal... Why is it a problem for you?
[14:42:19] <irc> <kayou[m]> StraToN: (I'm still searching for a solution to the crash for you, don't worry)
[14:42:21] <djx> O.o just seems a bit strange to put that on the top of any app I run on my website?
[14:42:37] <djx> plus, the resources are failing to load so, that doesn't seem great.
[14:42:42] <irc> <kayou[m]> you'll see only if you are logged in
[14:42:51] <irc> <kayou[m]> BUT, you can disable it if you want
[14:44:07] <irc> <kayou[m]> edit the file `/etc/nginx/conf.d/youdomain.tld.d/webapp_yourdomain.tld_site.conf`
[14:44:46] <irc> <kayou[m]> put a `#` ahead of the line `include conf.d/yunohost_panel.conf.inc;`
[14:44:57] <irc> <kayou[m]> and run `systemctl reload nginx`
[14:46:21] <djx> I see. So it's not common for apps to make it selective to show?
[14:46:59] <irc> <kayou[m]> I don't understand what you mean, sorry
[14:51:59] <irc> <StraToN> kayou[m] Thanks a lot for keeping checking on it ;)
[14:52:52] <irc> <StraToN> I'm still here as well, don't hesitate to ping me when needed
[14:54:21] <irc> <StraToN> This is odd, now I can't connect to rainloop anymore
[14:55:09] <irc> <kayou[m]> meh
[14:56:11] <irc> <kayou[m]> maybe fail2ban
[14:57:04] <irc> <kayou[m]> only for the science: `systemctl stop fail2ban`, and try to login again
[14:58:12] <irc> <kayou[m]> in any case, rerun `systemctl start fail2ban` right after
[15:00:07] <irc> <liberodark:matrix.org> Bonjour à tous
[15:01:40] <irc> <StraToN> kayou[m] I'm trying
[15:03:58] <irc> <kayou[m]> StraToN: do you want to continue in english or in french?
[15:04:58] <djx> kayou - thanks for pointing this out. I was also able to get the other redirect to work by just commenting out a few lines. I may try to hack together a 5th option and do a pull request
[15:05:35] <irc> <StraToN> Ok donc j'ai testé en coupant fail2ban, sans succès. Je vais regarder l'access.log
[15:06:14] <irc> <kayou[m]> djx - on which app? mutli webapp?
[15:07:35] <irc> <kayou[m]> > This function is system dependent and is not available on all platforms.
[15:09:01] <djx> kayou - the forked repo worked, but it didn't really change anything for me, since as you pointed out it's in the nginx config that it's including the YNH panel
[15:09:28] <djx> and I'm saying I got my redirect for myapp.mydomain.com -> myapp.com to work by commenting out some lines in the file generated by the redirect app
[15:09:41] <djx> so I think it should be pretty easy to add a 5th option and generate the redirect with those lines commented :)
[15:10:42] <irc> <kayou[m]> ho that would be nice indeed! ping me when you create this PR, I'd be happy to review it!
[15:23:39] <irc> <kayou[m]> https://github.com/YunoHost/SSOwat/pull/141
[15:31:05] <irc> <kayou[m]> :-)
[15:48:39] <irc> <pcr:chat.filmdas.com> Hello @all

[15:48:45] <irc> <pcr:chat.filmdas.com> super easy setup.
[15:49:01] <irc> <pcr:chat.filmdas.com> how long does it need till the update is mirgrated?
[15:49:07] <irc> <pcr:chat.filmdas.com> from synapse branch to yunohost?
[16:32:45] <irc> <taziden> Hi
[16:33:14] <irc> <taziden> I'll proceed to the replacement of the bios battery of the ttnn hosted machine tomorrow at 6PM
[16:33:19] <irc> <taziden> Bram: ^
[16:33:35] <irc> <Bram> taziden: great, thx :)
[16:34:04] <irc> <Bram> if you can assure that the briq correctly reboot itself with poweroff/on with that that would be great
[16:34:06] <irc> <taziden> Should I ping someone in order to halt the machine properly ?
[16:34:11] <irc> <Bram> like that a power failure won't be a problem
[16:34:28] <irc> <taziden> Bram: yes, I'll do that
[16:34:31] <irc> <Bram> taziden: you can, kayou[m] and I have access for example
[16:38:18] <irc> <taziden> ok, i'll ping you then :)
[16:38:30] <irc> <Bram> ok
[16:38:37] <irc> <Bram> I should be available in theory
[16:39:34] <irc> <kayou[m]> many thanks taziden
[21:06:08] <irc> <maya:occult.institute> > <@pcr:chat.filmdas.com> how long does it need till the update is mirgrated?

As far as I can tell, this is the pain point of yunohost. Cf. nextcloud; the updates won't make it across as quickly. It seems like if you're connected enough to be aware of new versions coming out for software, you might be better off using ynh's setup as a template for a manual install.
