[06:39:02] <Echo Archon> New post in Star Trek news and discussion: I have tried to get into Star Trek for nearly 20 years. And I still want to. What, really, is the best way? (https://old.reddit.com/r/startrek/comments/1k7du0k/i_have_tried_to_get_into_star_trek_for_nearly_20/)
[08:29:34] <tamimi> Alright now, listen up, partner. If you're lookin' to get your eyeballs on some must-see Star Trek episodes, you can mosey on over to this here guide:

Then there's that Discovery + Short Treks (that's the newfangled stuff).

And don't forget SNW (more of that new TV) right here: [https://www.letswatchstartrek.com/strange-new-worlds-episode-guide/](https://www.letswatchstartrek.com/strange-new-worlds-episode-guide/)

Now, if you wanna see where it all started, there's this: [https://www.letswatchstartrek.com/tos-episode-guide/](https://www.letswatchstartrek.com/tos-episode-guide/) plus them TOS movies (them's old, but they had some big ol' budgets).

Then comes this here gem: [https://www.letswatchstartrek.com/tng-episode-guide/](https://www.letswatchstartrek.com/tng-episode-guide/) plus them TNG Movies (kinda modern-like).

After that, you gotta check out: [https://www.letswatchstartrek.com/ds9-episode-guide/](https://www.letswatchstartrek.com/ds9-episode-guide/)

And then this one right here: [https://www.letswatchstartrek.com/voy-episode-guide/](https://www.letswatchstartrek.com/voy-episode-guide/)

Oh, and there's Lower Decks (more modern TV), Very Short Treks (yep, modern TV), Prodigy (you guessed it, modern TV), and Picard (yep, modern TV).

Now, that there's mostly in order, kinda like how time goes, and it's how I've wrangled most folks into seein' this whole shebang (though sometimes we skip that old TOS 'cause it's just too darn ancient for some city slickers). Watchin' 'em in that order puts a bunch of the newer stuff up front, makin' it easier for more folks to swallow.

Now, get this: that Universal FanFest deal is gonna have the NCC-1701-D, that's from TNG and Picard, and they'll even have Quark's Cafe, that's straight outta DS9.

I reckon you oughta save watchin' Picard 'til last. It's kinda like that big finale, ya know? It ain't a bad watch on its own, but it really shines brighter than a Texas star when you know all them folks and what all went down before.

If you're in a real hurry, sounds like them TNG and DS9 shows oughta be your top priority, special-like, for seein' what all that FanFest is gonna be about.
