[00:00:33] <Gordon Leadfoot> i'd say those without ipads in the dashboard
[00:01:43] <Gordon Leadfoot> i have been thinking about that myself, but if i am carrying a phone.... does it matter? i am tending towards a different way: fully online car with calling plan, no cell phone.
[00:02:06] <Gordon Leadfoot> my one potential pitfall is 2FA
[00:03:05] <Gordon Leadfoot> it would mean going without things that won't 2FA to non cellular numbers
[00:03:26] <Gordon Leadfoot> maybe the car could get those...
[00:03:37] <Gordon Leadfoot> could be a hassle idk

[06:45:47] <pl> > This may sound like a dumb question...but are there car makes that are better for privacy than others?
These designed for "professional" market (i.e. Ford Traffic) can be bought without any "iPads in the dashboards" for now
[07:05:55] <pl> Or wait, it was Ford Transit?
[07:05:57] <pl> Idk
[07:06:44] <pl> But I recall some could be bought as barebones
[08:02:41] <pl> >> This may sound like a dumb question...but are there car makes that are better for privacy than others?

*Renault Trafic*, not "Ford Traffic" heh
[13:06:13] <Gordon Leadfoot> commercial market vehicles is a good idea, i didn't think of checking those out
[15:24:01] <muhlolocaust> Jewish Lives Matter!!!!

Jewish Lives Matter!!!!
[15:41:01] <Gordon Leadfoot> ok
[18:31:14] <k1rb0> Hello
[18:31:41] <k1rb0> How yall doing
[18:31:54] <k1rb0> Never knew this app had so many users
[18:33:43] <pl> What app?
[18:34:01] <pl> I mean Jabber is application-independent
[18:34:33] <pl> > Never knew this app had so many users
This channel has many users but traffic is very low compared to other (and smaller) channels
[18:35:51] <pl> Have a look on https://search.jabber.network/ for the other
[21:22:00] <christof> > Or wait, it was Ford Transit?
i recently rented a ford transit and it was very unpleasant. the damn car constantly honks or beeps at you or distracts in other ways. it decided I was tired 5 minutes after I started the trip and henceforth warned me about paying more attention with a loud beep and full screen overlay display that manually needed to be closed by clicking a haptic-less tiny x button on a touch screen, repeating every few minutes. also it will beep at you if it (correctly or incorrectly) identfies you are going 1km/h too fast. if the engineers have time for this kind of bs, I would not be surprised if every bit of information now sits in te cloud.
[21:22:11] <christof> unbearable.
[21:49:04] <jetway> Hello
